I'm taking a few vacation days the first week in June and thought we would do some exploring. I haven't done much in the NE corner of the State. Anybody have a feel for how much snow will still be up there? Can a guy do some hiking that early and still see some cool stuff? Any recomended trail heads for a day hike?

Anything exciting that would be worth doing? Was looking at the wallowa Tram on the internet and thought that might be fun for a neat view.

if you want to see some big bucks and bulls, i'd say hike into the snake river unit: geeze- they are everywhere!
