Elk wallowing

I am wondering if anyone has any ideas of how often elk will wallow durring the rut, whether it be a weekly deal or maybe daily? Surely someone has patterned this with some trail cameras or seen it first hand sitting in a tree stand?

I have seen it many times both on camera and in a tree stand. They seem to wallow more often than not in the mid day-afternoon stretch. Often once their cows have bedded down for the day they will slink off to their favorite or closest wallow.

To actually pattern them like a white tail though, not going to happen on public land. They seem to move about not hitting the same area for 3-4 days. Best bet is to have lots of time and a ton of patience.

Others may have experienced different but that is my experience.

+1 to silent.
This is my observations too especially on public land.

On private land, Diamond mountain, my daughter missed a bull at a wallow and killed the same bull on the same wallow 2 days later. We were the only pressure so he had a chance to calm down and return. Now he looks down at us from my daughter's wall!
