fort carson deer??

Anyone ever hunt Ft Carson for deer? I'm in the Army and gaining access is not going to be a challenge. Just curious if anyone has ever had any success on it.. I'm not looking for a hog, just looking to get my son his first deer. Last year we hunted pinion canyon for elk with no luck..

You'll probably PCS before you draw a tag, but there are some real toads near the Airfield in the low-impact area.

Do a thread search I wrote about my experince.....turned my dads tag in before the season for a point refund after tons of hassles and hassleing

Adventure- I found your posts and yeah, it sounds like you had a bum deal...not sure of your experience with hunting on Army posts, but it all sounds about par for the course. I went through all the madness last year. Ft Carson does at least let you get out and do some scouting (which most bases won't let you). Thanks for the insight tho, I do appreciate the heads up... I have heard that Carson has some big ones, just finding them is the pain because of units training in various areas. It's a gamble, but we'll see...
