Does anybody have the little newspaper sales flyer that Cabelas sends out in the mail? It is specific for the Glendale store. I saw one yesterday and it was thrown away. Anyways, it was for a sale that starts May 17 I believe. They have advertised a Garmin GPS for $170 off and I don't remember what model it was. If anybody has the paper and can tell me that would be great.

Thanks!!!

The ad is for the Garmin Oregon 450T GPS at $279.99, was $449.99.
Pre-loaded topographical map database.
True-to-life 3-D mapping ability.
Barometric altimeter.
02939578

May 17-28 at the Glendale store location only.

That is a great price! I just bought the Oregon 450 from Amazon for $286 and thought that was a good deal. I already had the 1:24000 micro SD card though.
If you want to download a map to an SD card here is a pretty good map that will cost you nothing unless you want to donate to their cause.

Creed, Does that map show private property lines in AZ ? How easy is it to put on a micro chip?

You have to download Garmin's Mapsource or Basecamp to your computer. Then you can download the topo maps and ownership maps. They appear in either Map source or BC. It is pretty easy to download to an SD card from there.
I bought the Garmin 1:24000 SD card for AZ but the GPSfiledepot map is more detailed. There are layers you can work with.

Follow their directions to the letter when you are doing it and you shouldn't have any problems.

Ok,Are these downloads free? Can you down load the GPSfiledepot from the Garmin Mapsource? free?
Do the ownership maps give the Ranch and or property names?
I have the Oregon 450T but havn't used it much yet.

LAST EDITED ON May-12-12 AT 11:02PM (MST)[p]The downloads are free. They ask for a donation but it isn't necessary.
You have to download Mapsource or Basecamp first and then download whatever map you want. It will open in the MS or BC program.
There are detailed instructions on what to do and how to do it. I would suggest reading them and then doing EXACTLY what they instruct or the program won't work properly if at all.
I haven't used the ownership maps on a GPS but have as a layer on the map program. It doesn't give names that I have seen. However, if you download the maps to an SD card the different land ownerships are a different color on the topo map.
