LAST EDITED ON Apr-05-11 AT 09:28AM (MST)[p]I was able to get my hands on one of these at the expo and have been able to take it out and try it a few times. My first impression is that it is well built, not too bulkey, and well thought out.
I really like that the top straps are non-elastic, this seems to take the "boing boing" out of your binos when hiking. The bottom straps are elastic and allow for comfortable fit and easy attachment. I like my binos fairly tight to my body, and the elastic straps allow me to strap the bino harness tight, and remain unconstricted. The binos are fully protected with a magnetic lid closure, and they have straps independant of the bino pouch that hook to the binos.
This way if ever you were bending over or something and the flap came open your binos would be caught by these straps. One unique thing about the Bino Hub is the rangefinder attachment. Your rangefinder is wrapped with a sleeve that has a tiny steel plate in it. On the pouch itself are two magnetic attachment points, one on the bottom and one on the side. You can keep your rangefinder in regular postition on the bottom either in a case,
or open
it is secured here with an elastic bungee. Then when approaching game you can transfer it to the side mount where it is free and easily accessible.
The pouch also has a back zipper pocket for your wallet or other valuables.
I really like this setup and hopefully this review has been good and helpful to you.
