I found an area in Southern CA that was burned a few years ago and there are lot deer in there. You can't walk 50 yards without finding fresh sign. The problem with hunting the area is it's rolling hills with thick brush and dead branches like a spider web over the area making it impossible to walk quietly. If you get to higher ground it's not much help because the brush is so thick you can't see any deer. There are washes every few hundred yards that provide well covered travel routes. Make matters more difficult the winds are fickle and wind direction can't be dependable. There are multiple water sources in the area as well. The area has very dense deer population but I am about to give up on this place seems almost impossible hunt. Any suggestions?
