LAST EDITED ON Aug-09-15 AT 04:11PM (MST)[p]DW, I'm well aware of phototropism and photoperiodism and how it effects antler growth, was fascinated by the "theory" at U of Az when there studying Wildlife Bio. At the time, it was supposed as the number one reason limiting deer in their antler growth but other factors came into play as well. This years wet weather, late spring, and late availability of preferred feed, are such factors.
I'm not talking a bunch of added growth here but it doesn't take much to add to a already huge buck's total inches. If a deer is still in full velvet and the lush nutrients are still available as they feed, no reason to believe that a animal won't put on some increment of additional growth.
If you don't agree, fine, we'll leave it at that, similar to you believing that quality ammo is not worth the money.
