After weeks of searching and through most of the hunt having seen more grizzlies than moose I did finally manage to find a small bull that I decided to put the tag on. I know there are large bulls in the unit as a couple of elk hunters were kind enough to share pictures and video as well as locations but I was never in the right place at the right time. There is a reason this is an easy to draw tag. F&G website harvest statistics for last year were poor and I think this year they might look worse. Not the size of antlers I was wanting so I am just going to mount the antlers on a plaque.

Congrats on getting a moose. I hope to get a tag on one someday too. Hopefully the pack out wasn't too brutal, they are massive creatures indeed!
