Any suggestions on caliber, powder, bullet and scope needed for the east side muzzleloader season. Any recipes out there used in the past for deer? Any help would be appreciated!

Ok looks like we will be using a T/C Triumph topped with a 2x7 scope. Any good loads out there for deer that would give some good groups similar to those using the 338 with 100gr of bh209?

Well I went out today but changed the scope to a 3x9x40. Todays equipment: T/C Triumph 50cal, Bh209, CCI 209 M primer, 250 grain Shockwaves, 250 Hornady Low Drag SST and finally 250 TMZ Barnes. Seems to me if I use 100 grs of powder that I get around 3" high at 100yds. If I use 110 grains of powder I shoot 6-7inches high at a hundred and zero at 200yds. So far so good! I used the TMZ and they flew BAD! The first two bullets were about the same. Any other recommendations for trying a better bullet or load for Mule Deer???
