Lets see,
just did a quick count and it appears as though the countdown for my elk hunt in on the bottom side of the year.
Only 24 weeks. Colorado Muzzy season,
3 points, should be a shoe-in.
How about you others.
Lets hear from you.
See if we can stirr up a little excitement,
ya it may be early fore some of you, but belive me i started thinking about my next years hunt, the day I returned.
Right now there is plenty of hunts to watch on TV.
with lots of good tips.
Been kicking about ideas on where i'm going to set up camp.
which tent to set where.
taking a new guy out there with me.
We've applied for the last 3 years for this hunt and feel it"s a good chance at a draw.
We hunt and fish together but he's never chased elk.
This will be his first.
Four wheelers or horses.
i would like to horse it around but
I dont have any to take out.
and renting them is kindda pricy on a pinched budget.
any of you have any horses to loan/cheep rent?
do i set up a base camp, and
Go deep or just hunt the front couple miles.
Weather to make a scouting trip out there 3 weeks before or just wing it.
ive hunted this area for the last 4 years.
I would like to try the back side of this area, which i've never been into.
From what i have seen on the DOW maps the back side holds caving and a summer heard.
can you guys tell me, do they move when fall starts?
lets see if we can get to gether and use this as a
count down post.
I know there are many out there who are like myself.
I've already lost it.
Elk ELLK eleleleleeleK,
Thanks Jim
