Little public lands good news.

That's good news! Has anybody found a map or list of what it affects in western states? The closest I could find was this FNC article (https://www.foxnews.com/great-outdo...-plans-expand-hunting-fishing-protected-acres) that says, "One of the new refuges where hunting and fishing would be allowed is Seedskadee National Wildlife Refuge, in Wyoming" but Seedskadee has always been open for fishing throughout and hunting everywhere except the safety buffer around the headquarters.

"Hunting is allowed for big game (mule deer, moose, pronghorn antelope), migratory game birds (ducks, coots, dark geese, ?mergansers, snipe, rails, mourning doves), upland game birds (sage grouse) and upland game (cottontail rabbits, skunks, red fox, jackrabbits, and raccoons) in accordance with Wyoming Game and Fish Department seasons and regulations. Fishing is allowed on the entire refuge."?-

How much of this is an improvement and how much is political grandstanding?

Me too. I started to get worried I had been breaking the law. It turns out the article was just more Fake News.

I hope the actual legislation does improve hunting/fishing access though.

?The Interior Department on Wednesday announced a plan to expand hunting and fishing opportunities in several federal wildlife refuges and fish hatcheries. ?

I think the Stream Access outfit played a big part in getting the fish hatcheries opened up to fishing.

THey added elk and whitetail to the list of hunting that is allowed at Seedskadee. For sh!t sake can you just say something positive or nothing at all.

No, no he can't. It's part of his charm.

So is the big "expansion" of "new refuges where hunting and fishing would be allowed" represented by Seedskadee?

Can anybody find a list or map? Let's be like Reagan and "trust but verify" and not just run to praise the Great Leader every time FNC says to.

If they think adding elk and whitetail to Seedskadee is "allowing" hunting and fishing then this is much ado about nothing.

It's a fair question if people are going to heap praise as to whether the praise is warranted, or even legitimate.

It is good news. Period. I'm from the party of hunting, fishing, public lands. This is a win. I'll take it.

So what you're saying is DW is correct.

Here is your list. https://www.fws.gov/home/feature/20...ting-and-Fishing-Proposed-Rule-Narratives.pdf

I see a couple of places that is going to open some good spots for desert Mulies in Arizona.

It will change the strategy for hunting the whole unit for sure.

^^^Great news. Not much for Utah, Idaho, and Wyoming but Arizona and New Mexico are going to see improvements.

Not a lot of wildlife refuges outside of major flyways. Migratory birds are the biggest benefactors of the refuge system, well, and those of us that like to chase em! I just enjoy watchin grizz twist and turn telling us those evil Republicans suk even when they get it right. It's the little things in life......

I've given three separate positive compliments to the action on this thread, and also stated I hope it is legitimate and not just political BS. It was helpful when somebody posted the actual link because the FNC article using Seedskadee as their example left a lot to be desired.

Still waiting for you to direct your ire, negativity, and endless criticism towards Trump and the NRA for the bump stock seizure. They're banning firearms (even by their definition) and seizing private property via Executive Action right under your nose. No Due Process. No Fair Compensation. Just Big Government Socialistic Seizure... and you're silent.

When you locate yer big boy pants, drop back down into the political forum and you will see where I've said multiple times he was wrong to ban them. But they're a gimmick. 5 minutes on YouTube and you can have the real deal. It was a bone to the simpletons. I see you've got a firm hold on it! I guess the question is, is your love for public lands stronger than your hate for the right? And of course I have my opinion on the matter. Met the regional director of BHA here the other night, good dude! We both agreed on many things, like I'm sure you and I would. I still have issues with the vehicle and who's ridin with BHA.
