The reality of hunting bull elk outside of the rut is now sinking in quite hard. I've spent a few days over the past three weeks calling and stalking elk with friends and family who have limited entry archery and rifle tags. It's easy to locate and get onto bulls during the rut, but how do you locate and get onto bulls after the rut? I have an Idaho Antlered Elk tag for Area 51 that begins November 1st. Any direction you can give me for locating and getting onto late season bulls would be appreciated.
