14 points later and I finally drew out. I am pumped. I wish I was as pumped after being up in the mountains last weekend and not seeing any elk. Any archery hunters I talked to did not see any either. I was up around haystack and garrett ridges. I have never hunted there before but my father and brother have 25 years ago while I was still in school and took college too seriously and did not go with them.
Anyway, I was referred to you all here on monster mulies and from what I have read I like the way you roll. That is such huge country it blows my mind. I am going to be taking my 80 year old dad with me this hunt and would love to drop a worthy bull with him at my side. Any pointers you all could give would be much appreciated.
Any other areas I should look? Stick to the bottom of these roadless canyons? Scout up high and move in down low?
Good luck to you archery hunters.
