Gun Fighter Ballads may be one my all time favorite music albums. Don't know anything about the music industry but I'll bet it has sold more copies than just about any other on the market. After fifty years, I still see it being sold to another generation of country music listeners.

Hard to believe Robbins had been dead 35 years. Seems like only yesterday. Not many of the great ones left. Miss them all!

2lumpy, thanks for the post. Gunfighter Ballads, one of the best albums ever.

While he was famous for EL Paso, another cut from Gunfighter is "The Master" lots of messages there.

from the "Heartland of Wyoming"

I Re-Wrote this one for Feleno!

Faleena!

Back Me Off to 1,700 Yards,650 is a Little Close & I'm Not Comfortable with it!

A GUT SHOT at 1,700 Yards will Still Make Some Good BRAGGIN Rights so I Can Say I At Least Hit Him!

My Dad had "Gunfighter Ballads" when I was a kid. I practically wore it out. "Big Iron" was classic, But so were "The Hanging Tree", "Cool Water"," Billy the Kid", "The Master's Call" "Strawberry Roan", "El Paso", and "Utah Carroll". Thanks for posting, and the wonderful trip down "memory lane"!
