LAST EDITED ON Jul-19-05 AT 10:51PM (MST)[p]I didn't mean to say that the elk move out of the area, but from our experiences, different bulls seem to move into the areas than the ones that were there when we were scouting. A few years ago when we were helping a friend, we did see some of the same bulls during the hunt that we had seen while scouting, but on my hunt we never seen any of the larger bulls we were watching. I think a lot depends on the feed, pressure, and where the cows are when the rut starts to come on.
One thing you can say about elk hunting, if you think you have it all figured out, you're going to be wrong!!! Maybe not always, but eventually it will catch up to you..
Hey B_F_E, that is a weird looking bull. Would be fun to stick one like that.. Of course it is fun to stick any mature bull, and even some smaller ones too......
Was that above your place??? Seen a couple good ones up there on Friday evening.
Have anyone seen the fire north of Marysvale Peak lately? It is really starting to rip...Can see flames from town tonight...
And they are not even thinking about fighting it yet?????
It could get ugly if the wind comes up!!
