I'm from Texas and have been traveling to New Mexico off and on for about 15 years. In years past we just walked around till we saw a buck and shot him if we where lucky. I'm a little more patient now and I would like to hunt bigger bucks. I have the second rifle hunt for New Mexico 2B this year. It opens on the 29th of this month and the weather forcast is for cloudy with maybe rain. We will have a new moon I believe as well. I would like to try to glass up a good buck. How will these conditions affect deer movement? It seems like in the past, a couple of hours after sun up the deer would bed down. If it's overcast will the deer move all day. Thanks for any advice, I'm trying to get serious about mule deer hunting and leave the two points alone.
