LAST EDITED ON Feb-24-14 AT 03:23PM (MST)[p]I think bowtech hit a home run with this speed bow if it actually hits what they say it will hit.
Shot it today set on 29" draw and 60 lbs. The draw is 2" to big for me so I expected to slap my arm with its physically measured 5 3/4" brace height. So I put an arm guard on and shot it without anything attached except the biscuit.
The bow is quiet, smooth, no vibrations. It also didn't want to rip my arm off when I relaxed. Valley is just right. The bow has an ever so small kick to the side that could be fixed with a very tiny stabilizer. Im being really picky when I say small kick. The bow feels top heavy or top front heavy with nothing attached. It would probably sit level with my tight spot quiver full of arrows attached so its not a problem.
Ive heard people complain about the weight and grip. I two was skeptical of both. The grip actually feels ok better than I thought it would. Its still ugly imho! Weight wasn't a problem for me. Maybe because my target bows are heavy. If you balance it out properly it will feel light imho.
I would have no problem hiking this bow around to the top of the wasatch front going for big muley bucks.
If the bow tunes an arrow at my draw like my trusty mathews lx I may have one in my stable. I just want to try it in 70 lbs with my gear attached before I drop a grand on a poor tuning poor performing bow. I think it will pass my test with flying colors though.
ps
I forgot to mention cam lean. The bow at rest had no lean that I could tell in top or bottom cams. Maybe because the string fit the groves. At full draw the bottom cam had no lean. The top cam had a touch. I could however get the lean out with a twist in the right yoke if I wanted. This bow is a very tunable bow compared to a lot of bows out.
Did i say its 45 fps faster than my old trusty hunting bow. Its also way quieter.
