New Mexico 45?

I plan to apply for unit 16B (early and late rifle) for elk in New Mexico. Is unit 45 worth applying for as a third choice? Or is the unit overrun with hunters like I've heard about 52?

It's not over run, actually it's a very good unit. Most of it is wilderness so the access to it is hiking or on horseback. Not many roads to travel on the northern part of the unit. Hope this helps you.

I applied for unit 45 and 21A...I like the fact that 45 is tough to access.

Thanks for the input. The lack of access points is a plus. Sounds like a good unit for a second or third choice.
