Well, here is something I didn't think I'd ever see...the word "successful" on a results email! I struck out everywhere this year and decided, after speaking with the local biologist, to throw my hat in for the lone Ogden West non-resident cow moose tag and I'll be darned if I didn't draw the thing.
I've started doing my map homework and I'll be talking with the biologist quite a bit through the summer, but I'd love to get any other info folks more familiar with the unit would be willing to share.
I'd be more than happy to give up some great Coues deer locations that you can get on a leftover tag (if you don't mind hunting near the border), or share some moose meat if someone is willing to give me some pointers on where to start/focus, or even if there is a better time during the season to hunt since its open for over a month. My plan is to hunt for a few days with my recurve and then pull out the boom-stick if things aren't going in my favor. My wife would murder me if I dropped this kind of cash on a tag and didn't come home with delicious moose meat!
God Bless,
-Luke
