Checking out sites like this, really helped me out. Hopefully I can repay the favor by posting pictures of my bull. After waiting my entire life for the chance to hunt a big bull, I decided to put my faith and all of my Utah points on the Fishlake Late Unit. My good friends Ted and David helped me scout the area and Ted and I ran into this bull a week before the hunt (David had been watching him for a few weeks previously). We didn't get a good look at him, but we knew he was a definite "shooter." Many other good friends helped out as well. Ray and Brandon spent countless hours on the unit looking for good bulls with me as well. Finally, the sleepless nights and constant worry about bagging a good one left as I was able to have a great opportunity on this bull opening morning at 322 yards. My Browning 30-06 came through with one shot and none of us could believe our eyes when what was a good "shooter" bull turned out to be 6 X 7 scoring 373. He has 54 and 51 inch main beams incredible firsts (19.5" and 17.5") and great thirds for the Fishlake Unit (20.5" and 19"). With my son Canyon, dad Bruce and older brother Ty there, as well as other good friends wanting to share the experience, the day ranks in the top ten of my life! What a hunt, what a bull! Thanks to everyone who helped out. Memories like these last forever.
Thanks for looking!
