OK, I tried to stay out of this one since it looks like people have some strong opinions, some if them seem a little off to me though. I'm just a normal working guy that owns my business so I can't take 4 weeks off to scout, hunt 5 different states- many of which have late season muledeer hunts to kill monster bucks like everyone else seems to do on this website. So this year, I buy some of the raffle tickets for one of the raffle muledeer hunts. Yes, if I won one of these I would probably hunt late season, how is that different than say Colorado that has late hunt or even Idaho that has late draw hunts. Does anyone actually think that maybe killing 3 or 4 extra bucks a year in Oregon does anything to the screwed up mess we already have in this state? How is this any different than the a-hole outfitter that was bragging on this website about drawing a Juniper tag, I think a Trout Creek tag, and a couple of others that are all once in a lifetime tag for most residents- and then selling these to non-residentts - thats what I think is BS. Anyway, if I do win a tag, I'll hunt on my own on public land without setting on a 4 wheeler like most, and I certainly don't need no ***** guide to show me around and if I do shoot a nice buck I really don't think it will change the deer herd in the state of Oregon. Just my opinion.
