Yeah, Guy i grew up with, we started hunting and fishing together from about 5th or 6th grade and all thru our 20's anyway, has killed over 10,000 pigs for the State of Calif... and got paid for it!!
Some places have huge surplus of oinkers but they can't let hunters in during daylight hours or even let it be known that the pigs are being "controlled". Even though the Damage these pigs cause is noticed and costly, the people who live on the outskirts of these rural Park type habitat, would be up in arms over the idea of letting "hunters" in to help control the pigs even at little or much reduced costs to the State.
So, there are paid pro's out there, silently culling our North State parkland type acreages of pigs at night and nobody the wiser.
** It was this way for many years and at least up to not too many years ago. I figure they are still doing it but don't know that for a fact.
