Long time visitor first time poster(3+years). let me start by saying that i have learned a lot from this sight. now im that lucky SOB that even my own friends want to kick my a$$! i drew a Wasatch Premium elk tag last year with 1 point. didn't close the deal, but had a blast running around the mountain with elk bugleing 50 yards away the whole time. i went into it thinking it was a OIL tag.even having never taken a big game animal in my life(1000+ birds) i wasn't going to settle for anything less then a trophy. ate tag soup and i can live with it. well lightning has stuck the same place twice. i drew a pauns muzzloadrer deer tag with 0 points! i put it down as a joke thinking that it isn't even possible. so here is my question to you all what should i settle for on the pauns? from what ive read it seems like its on the downward slope but still holds a lot of deer and some real monsters. im a broke 22 year old college student at the UofU working full time this summer so 2 weeks of scouting is about all i can possibly manage.(stupid summer school!)any advice on where to start scouting would be amazing. heck anyone that wants to chase muleys around the pauns is more then welcome.
