i will be moving to eastern oregon very shortly and was wondering, when i become a resident do i retain my preference points i earned as a nonresident or do i loose those points and start over as a resident??? thanks for your help, i was not able to find this info on the net. I am sure with all the "regulation wisdom" on this site some of you will be able to answer this question.

You will retain your points. I became a resident 3 years ago, so I can confirm it for you. How many points are you carrying in with you?

Yep, there's no reason why you would lose your points. You'll be applying under the same hunter #, the only difference is you'll be paying a lot less money.
