Has anyone tried the new range finder by Bushnell? The one I am interested in is the SCOUT 1000 ARC. This is their new tec. for angle compensation. Need to get a new range finder. What is your suggestions? Archery use - don't need the longe range.

Thanks

Another club member had one at the archery range last week. I tried it briefly. The ARC feature works, the mode is simple to change, and the viewfinder uncluttered unlike the Leupold. The view was appreciabbly dimmer than through my Leica though.

Check out the product review posts, there is a question about the Leopold rangefinder. I had your same question and after looking at the Leica, that's what I'm going with. Good luck!

For archery and muzzleloader hunting the bushnell will work just fine. I have the 1000 ARC and really like it. You will need the Lieca for long range rifle hunting. The Bushnell 1000 will only read deer out to 400 yards.
