Last year I killed a great buck, I decided to have him scored at one of those gun show/ scoring events. I had previously scored the deer multiple times. After seeing the score sheet I was like WTF! It was 12 inches lower than my lowest score I've ever scored on this deer. I watched the first half of the scoring and he completely ignored my eye guards which are 1", 1", and 1 1/4. Which also lost me an inch per side in mass (as I understand due to H1 and H2 taken at the narrowest point between the burr and g2) I know I'm going to take flak for this post, but has anyone ever had this happen? Even after the fact I've scored it and the same thing. I've used scotch tape and a straight edge to pen mark the start of the point, and used the boone and crockett app where you input data and it calculates it. Am I the crazy one or should I have it rescored ? I know score is just a number and it doesn't shrink the deer in my eyes but I'm just not understanding how I could be that far off.
