Thanks for the info...but I am in a bit of a hurry. This is for last years elk. The hide is tanned and back at the taxidermist. He can't order the form until I tell him what I want. So...I am starting to lean toward a straight pose with a slight right turn, one ear forward, one ear slightly back (semi-alert). I want as much of a natural position as possible. My wife has finally given up and had turned the front room over to me. My bull is going to be the main focus of the room. The only mounts in it so far will be the bull and my speed goat for now (Coues hunt in November!!).
What is making it hard to decide is my bull was bugling when I released the arrow, and as he just finished the last note.............the arrow passed through. Because of the size of his rack, I can't do a straight bugle mount, it would have to be turned 90 which I am not a big fan of since it limits where the bull can be put later (we plan on moving at some point).
