Sighting In

hey everyone just bought a new 7mm remington mag, i was curious what to sight it in at. im thinking 3 inches high at 100yds so that it on at 300yd. what do you think?

You're on the right track. With factory ammo and yardages out to about 400, that's perfect. mtmuley

thats fine, but what ever you do, make sure you know what your impact at 200 is. site in too high at 100 can mean a miss over the top at 200.

they are factory loads 150 gr. thanks for the input and i will keep it in mind.

2.5" high at 100 should be pretty close to what you need. That would give you a (mpbr)maximum point blank range of around 300 yards. That means you can aim directly at your target from 0-300 yards and should hit no more or less than 3" up or down at any yardage. Of course you will want to verify this by shooting, but that should give you a good starting point. This is assuming you will be shooting at deer size game.
