LAST EDITED ON Jan-04-07 AT 12:50PM (MST)[p]I had the same thoughts about switching to a generic brand, but I just ended up weaning myself down instead. A can lasts me 5-6 days, and I only dip when I can really enjoy it. My 1st of the day is almost always after lunch, unless I'm camping or something. Also, I rinse my mouth out well with water after taking it out, floss every day, and brush my teeth at night. I'll bet that a lot of people that get oral cancer from dipping don't do either = longer exposure = more likely to get cancer.
Face it, we're all going to die, bad habits or not. 30,000 people among 300 MILLION people in America. One person in 10,000 will get mouth cancer, and of those, 2500 don't smoke or dip. I'll take my chances and enjoy it. The sad part is that I am still more likely to get mouth cancer than an LE Elk tag in Utah...
It's after lunch--I need a dip.
