Dude right now the Democrats are running scared and that is the reason they will use any little mole hill to make it into a mountain to attack Trump.
The Dems know now that if Trump can just improve the economy and make some headway in the other policies in the next 12-14 months, they will be losing seats in Congress in 2018. They know they are looking at the outcome being they will be the minority party for the next 8 years or more if Trump and the GOP can just deliver a better outcome then Obama did. Not too high of a bar to overcome and Trump does not have to deliver on all of his promises.
The economy will be the big ticket item and most of the voters do not care if they have to kick the can down the road as long as the economy improves for THEM.
The Dems may have to revise their entire policy and kick their progressive liberals to the side to just maintain status quo in keeping their seats in Congress. That will be a good thing if it happens. Trump has about 12-14 months to show the public a better outlook and a lot of things both good and bad can happen in those 12-14 months and the Dems are fearing the worse for themselves.
They are scared to death that Trump will deliver enough improvement that will turn voters away from the Dems next election in those states that Dems are up for re-election.
