And he isn't the only outfitter on the Dutton. Bet there's fewer cameras on a Hollywood sound stage.

Hoss, sorry but you're wrong on DC Outfitters. Ryan has stated many times he loves the Dutton, but that is not where his focus is, nor where all those cameras are.
I listened to the same podcast. You need to go listen again.
And yes, those guys are killing GIANTS every year now. Maybe the 400+ inch offspring of the Spider Bull????

Why would his offspring have a crazy set, if His set was because of a injury.
No sign of offspring, Could be a lot of them they just might be regular 370 class bulls.
The only way to know is a DNA test from him and any other bulls that have been killed on the 4 mountains.
I for one don't believe a RANCH bull could live on that mountain for a few months with the amount of Bears and Lions that are there.

He runs 135. Of that his guys each run about 20 a piece. Once he gets his hit list he reorfanizes his cams.
The point is, the legacy is that extremes that are gone to to shoot an elk. To the point that a guide living in Spanish Fork can "scout" the Dutton and kill the biggest bulls on it.

LAST EDITED ON Apr-07-18 AT 08:34AM (MST)[p]When I had a Fish Lake elk tag I remember stopping in a gas station 8n Loa. I believe it was a gas station anyways, I can't really remember. Anyway there was a shed in that store that reminded me of spyder bull. However it was only a five point I believe, could have been a 6 with a small 5th point can't remember that either, but it was extremely heavy and blunted tips like the Spyder.

I know people personally that run a high fence in Colorado for sure not my thing but nice people their Bulls are 500-600 plus and they said FOR sure it was a ranch bull adding they know the genetics....its their business...

I can see many of precious posters points . The issue I have is also the amount of $$$ paid for this bull to be killed . O personally don't think he was a farm bureau but I could be wrong. I personally have had encounters (brief) with an ENORMOUS non typical that is over the 450 mark. The has a club that has to be 3' long. As soon as the rut is over he's a ghost. Even during it's a chore to even get a glimpse. I think I know where he winters but it's some of the most secluded, inaccessible places in the wilderness. No shed has been found and we have known he's been there for 5 years at least . Just my 2 cents.
Why would anyone drop 40+k on a Ranch bull then release it weeks before the hunt then risk a Archery hunter shooting it before Austad could even start to hunt. And since some on here think it was a very domestic ranch bill why after Austad missed it didn't a archer, Rifle or a muzzloader hunter find it with it being such a domestic Ranch bull???
Also keep in mind Denny could afford to hunt any unit anywhere.
What makes more sense this or the fact that a great bull got killed on public land and some people are just jealous and want to criticize a great bull.

We do not mess with hormone additives as it is hard on animals but I've seen whitetail breeders use it to make monsters.
