Over the weekend I was finally able to make a trip out in search of some deer in unit 32. Hunted all morning just to turn up some does and several forkies. Around 1 in the afternoon I decided to head back home in Roswell to get a little break from the heat. As I got home I decided to leave all my hunting gear in my truck while I went inside to rest and figure out the evening hunt. Well turned out my wife had made plans for the evening that I was unaware of, so my evening hunt was spoiled. Sunday morning I realized I had forgot to take all my gear from truck but didn't think it was a big concern since I live in a relatively quiet community. So I went to my truck and noticed my glove box and center counsel were open with papers thrown on the floor. My stomach immediately dropped when I noticed by bow, binoculars, and rangefinder were gone. Not only did they break into my pickup but they broke into to several others in my neighborhood. It makes me sick to my stomach when I think about these low life P.O.S. idiots going through my stuff. If I could just get my hands on these people that steel from hard working citizens I guarantee you it would be an awful scene. So my fellow hunters keep a close eye on your hard earned gear because some crack head out there is willing to steel it in a heartbeat. I guess the deer hunt will have to wait till January.
