Texas shed hunting

A buddy and I are planning on starting the shed season off by hunting a couple axis does and looking for sheds in Texas this spring. Does anyone know when they start dropping? He joined a lease this year and while hunting found a pile of white antlers and noone else cares about them. I'm thinking mid to late Feb, but just not sure. Any ideas?

I helped a guy who had Fallow Deer and they would drop on the same schedule as elk, mid-March to mid-May but I don't know if Axis Deer are on that same schedule or not.

What part of Texas? Axis deer grow and drop their antlers year round. The whitetail in the hill country ( where 90% of Texas axis populations are found) should drop mid feb to early March.

PS, that axis meat is some of the best you will ever eat.

+1 ^^^^^ Axis deer are kinda weird they are all on different antler growing cycles. So it would be hard to determine when they will drop
