Unit 2 muzzy elk

My brother in law finally drew his Unit 2 muzzy elk tag. We will be doing several scouting trips this summer leading up to his hunt and I was just wondering if anyone here has hunted 2 and if you have any advise for us before his hunt. He drew with 18 pts so we definitely want to make the most of this opportunity. Thanks for any help you can provide.

Congrats to your brother-in-law. You are in for an excellent hunt. Feel free to drop me a line if you like and I'll see what I can do to help out. I have hunted unit 2 five times over the past decade on landowner permits, twice during the muzzleloader season, twice during the archery season and once during the rifle season. It as a great unit with lots of quality bulls. You must be a resident of Colorado if you drew with 18 points. Pray for cooler weather.
