Unit 38 Lopes

Have a tag for myself and my 13 year old. We were gonna hunt with a buddy who has some land and access to some other but he was just sent out of town on emergency business for 45 days. My question is: Is there any public land in the unit? Thanks in advance,

LAST EDITED ON Aug-02-11 AT 06:47PM (MST)[p]There's enough accessible public land to do a decent hunt with your boy, but you will need a good map of the unit and a GPS to find your way around. The biggest share of public land in the unit according to my CD ROM is from about 41 degrees 41 minutes latitude going north to about 41 degrees 49 minutes and it's more in the western half of the unit within those latitude marks.
