Hi everyone, I'm looking for some information on hunting Elk in Colorado, Unit 471 Archery. We will be getting there Friday, September 18th. I have hunted this unit on 3 other occasions but not since 2007. I'm sure things may have changed a little. I understand a lot of you are not very comfortable with posting a reply to a hunting area and I can appreciate that. I will welcome with open arms an email from anyone with information. My brother and his two sons will be coming along. They are really hoping to see some elk. I'm hoping to hear bugling elk. We timed it to the last week of the season in an effort to hear bugling elk. I have hunted this unit in early rifle once and also in muzzleloader once. Both of these hunts were earlier in the month of September than when we will be getting there. The other time I hunted this was in 3rd rifle season.
If you can give me any information it would be helpful.
