Unit 7 Jr Deer

My boys drew the unit 7 Jr hunt for deer this year. I plan on doing a lot of scouting before Oct but is there a a good place to start? I know there are alot of elk in the area but is there an area in 7 better for deer?

My boys had this hunt last year.We saw lots of bucks in the Kelly burn.This burn is east of kendirk park.both killed nice three X threes.
