Unit 84 cow elk

LAST EDITED ON Mar-22-11 AT 04:58AM (MST)[p]I plan on buying a leftover cow elk tag for unit 84 with unit 102 as my second choice. Anyone willing to share any info on elk in these areas?,this will be a DIY hunt.I never have hunted that area and it will be a new experience for me.

If you've got a decent raft or drift boat I could get you on elk! Or if you jump across the river to 85 I can put you in several good spots. My dads 60 and so far I've got him a cow every year, we're gonna go for it again this year also. I kill a cow out of 85 yearly and a bull every other.

Are the cow tags for 84 good in 85 to?Somewhere I heard they were.

Don't quote me, but I believe the 84/6 is valid in 85 but not until the end of the season and/or on private property. I'll see if I can find last years regs and double check.
