I finally drew a unit 98 late season (December) deer tag. I need help finding an affordable guide, outfitter, or landowner with a large tract of land that I can negotiate access for. Any readers of this forum hunt unit 98 in the past? Any advice, contacts, or information would greatly be appreciated.

I would first talk to the DWM for the unit and ask what landowners he suggests that allow deer hunting... He should know, as they get complaints about tree damage from landowners with lots of trees or in their shelterbelts and crops. Then I would go knock on doors. Another way is to look up the larger landowners at the County assessors office. You may be able to even do it online anymore!! Then go knock on some doors....Someone will let you hunt. It will take some effort on your part.
