Yes it does! There were more than a few, in our gang, of us young full of piss and vinegar buck hunters who worshiped the ground that he walked on.
No doubt a great buck hunter, really to bad that he'd couldn't settle with his own accomplishments without poaching and taking credit for others kills.
To those who might use Darners history as an example to discredit Trophy hunters, IMO, his ethics were by far the exception rather than the normal SOP of your every day, getting after it, big buck hunters. There were a lot of disappointed and let down guys out there when the truth finally came out.
