The question I have has to do with I think parshant canyon. We were down there last year . There is a sign part way down the canyon towards the river, and it says managed by something to do with Grand Canyon national park, but my maps look like the park is pretty much on the cliffs looking down towards the river. Does anyone know what sign I am talking about, and is it the park boundary? Thx

coyotes layer: I've been down there a few times and what a rugged ride it can be . The sign your talking about is the Wilderness Area Boundary where the gate is at and it is Managed by the NPS . The NP itself is more towards the cliffs overlooking the GrandCanyon where the old Mine is located . But if you keep taking the road which leads you to Dansil Spring and beyond , eventually you do cross into the NP itself . But when you get to the turnoff that goes to the Mine , there is a Steel Box Registration , asking :" How many peeps in your Party" , How many Days expecting to be down there" whats your intention of the trip etc .
