Will nevada ever have otc tags?

Seems like we are the only state in the west that doesnt have otc big game tags.

I cant even draw a tag and I hope not! Can you imagine the pressure the units(s) would get if Nevada ever opened OTC with a surely very large qty of of availabile tags? Couple that with how dry and arid the state is, I think it could take a reeeaaaal long time before game like Mule deer would bounce back.

I hope not. Tags are super easy for Residents as you can draw a tag every year if you aren't trying to draw the top units only.
You get 5 choices use them wisely.
When I lived there I drew my first choice for Archery deer every year.

Never will happen. And the bad news is it will only get tougher to draw a tag. The State is seeing another huge population boom that will continue for several years. If you live in the Reno area you'll see it with the USA PKWY area more and more jobs coming.

Very few western states have OTC tags. Unless one is too lazy to put in, I'm not sure why that would be a good idea.
