I was thinking of going to Colorado, maybe do some fishing, and also hoping to photograph and more importantly just view some mule deer. I am familiar with areas I have hunted, but I don't believe where I normally hunt is in wintering areas. So I was hoping someone could point me towards public ground that may hold a good population of wintering mule deer. I don't even mind if I couldn't even go back and hunt them, as I mentioned, I really just want to take pictures and watch - show them to my four year old. What I mean about not being able to hunt in the future is for places such as state parks, or other areas that visitors may be able to observe. Or if you guys could recommend a public area that does allow hunting, it would be a good scouting mission as well. I just figured that someone may be more willing to share if it were in an area that I would never be able to return to hunt. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks for any help.
