I received this email today. Thought I would post this to let everyone know what's going on. This site has alot of people interested in what's going on with the deer in this area. If you are applying for deer, elk or antelope in this area or the surrounding areas now is your chance to be heard. Please pass this info on to your friends as fast as you can. Time is very important. I will have an address for you to send your comments to tomorrow.
Hello Little Mountain supporters,
Thank you all for coming to the Little Mountain BBQ that Wyoming Wildlife Federation hosted with Steelworkers and Trout Unlimited at the end of July! Some of you contacted us afterwards because you were interested in what was happening with energy development around Little Mountain. Because of this, we are reaching out to you again to share the latest information about Little Mountain.
Another big story hit the newspapers this past week - BLM has listed 18,050 acres around Little Mountain to be included in the December Oil & Gas Lease Sale. BLM will be taking protests on specific parcels until NOVEMBER 17 - so take some time to speak out!
We have visited with lots of folks and know that there are quite a few questions out there. For that reason, we are hosting a public meeting on TUESDAY, NOV. 11th at 7:00 pm at Western Wyoming Community College, Room 1302. We have invited representatives from the BLM and WY Game & Fish Department to join us, in hopes that they will be available to answer questions. In addition, we will be there to show you maps and share with you ideas for how you can make your voice heard.
WHAT YOU CAN DO:
1) Join us at the public meeting and bring a friend or 2 - a big turnout will make a big statement!
2) Write a letter to the BLM (please look over the attached instructions - BLM requirements are very specific).
3) Forward this information on to your friends, family, and neighbors!
4) Contact other decision-makers - including the Governor, your state legislators, county commissioners, etc.
