Dutton, Manti or Nebo Archery Elk 2010?

I have enough points to draw Archery Elk for either the Dutton or Central Mountains Manti or Nebo unit in 2010. Which unit would I have the best shot at a decent bull? Any and all suggestions and opinions would be much appreciated. If anyone has any Archery pics from those units this year, that'd be great too!

Manti or Dutton would be bettrer choices. The Nebo is rough shape right now. The size of the herds have been sharply depleted because of high antlerless permit numbers. There are a few good bulls around but there are probably only about 50% of the total number of bulls that there were to hunt only 5 years ago. With the number of points you have I wouldn't waste them on Nebo.

I would say with the archery going to Sept17th next year, and if your in Real good shape or could be with some work. You have a good chance of hunting some good bulls on the Dutton, just be mentally and phisicaly prepared cause that units real tough but doable.

Nebo is pretty sad, Manti should be good still, and Dutton is my favorite place of all, it is tough but I promise you that if you draw a tag there it will be a hunt you will never forget and somewhere you will want to keep going back to theres something special about that mountain and a lot of nice bulls as well.

Dutton worked for me. Loved it. Sweated a bit, but saw some real nice bulls....in fact, a bunch of real nice bulls. Got one too.

If I had the choice I would hunt Manti. Dutton is a tough hunt with a muzzleloader or rifle and tougher with a bow. I agree forget Nebo I live in the area and wouldn't hunt it. I have hunted Dutton with a muzzleloader some years back and even though we filled 2 out of 3 elk tags I would hunt the last 2 weeks of the bow hunt on the Manti. Good luck, its really up to you. Do you know any of the units better than the others if not decide, draw and spend lots of time scouting.

Dutton then Manti for quality, the opposite is true for the ease of the hunt. Either way, get in great shape and hunt your guts out! You will have a great hunt for sure!

If you put in your time and hunt hard I think a 330 bull is very realistic on the Manti.

With all of these people saying no on Nebo, I think they may be hiding something.

Or then again you could eat tag soup like my friend did this year on the Nebo.
