I have a problem. It looks like my family and I can't make the opening weekned of this hunt. I think the last Friday to Sunday is going to be more possible. The hunt starts on Oct 26th and ends on Nov 4th. Has anyone hunted the last weekend of this hunt? Will it make a difference?

There are areas that I have hunted in the past that if your not there the first two days of the hunt, you may not see something to shoot for the rest of the season.

I'm not sure if this tag represents one of those areas. Please let me know, if we have kissed a good tag goodbye.

On the second Weekend start looking in the foothills and lower draws. The rut is just about to start that time of year and you may have some luck if you can find some does. If you need some help let me know.

I hunted all ten days last year on the early hunt, and was able to find bucks every day. The lower breaks and canyons had more, but there were still some good ones around the chainings that never left or got killed. The waterholes in the thick stuff had activity all day long. Over in the canyon, they just went down lower, and walked farther for water. Good luck, and have a great hunt.
