Anyone had the Panguitch Lake late tag?

Considering this tag. Would love to hear anyone and everyone's thought on the hunt/unit. Particularly those who have had the tag. Good, bad, indifferent, it's all useful.

My dad had it a few years ago. I got him into two groups of bulls opening morning and he got a 200 yard shot on a nice bull. My dad is mostly disabled so he was only able to road hunt. He must have missed the bull he shot at because there was no blood, no hair and no dead bull.

My experience with the hunt was really good. I am no pro when it comes to hunting elk but the bulls on Panguitch Lake are not that hard to find. Opening day they are easy to find near roads. After that you need to get out and hike a ridge or two away from the road to find them.

The day before his hunt I found three groups of bulls and one of them was a very nice 6x7.

Good luck. I like the unit but like everywhere it is not an easy hunt once the bulls figure out they are being chased.
