What would you do?

With my bonus points I am getting close to being drawn for deer in a couple of LE areas in Utah. I want a rifle tag. I don't want to wait and hold out for a Henries tag. I would rather go hunt another unit than wait 35-40 years to have enough bonus points to guarantee a tag. Although I do want to hunt one of the more difficult to draw units. As you can see by my handle, my luck isn't the best at drawing random tags. I am looking for a chance at a buck in the 180 class. My biggest to date is just over 160 and I won't pull the trigger on anything around this size or smaller. If the draw odds stay consistent, this is what I am considering.

Vernon, I would have a about a 50% chance of drawing this unit in the upcoming draw, probably guaranteed the next year.

San Juan, problably 2-4 years to guarantee a tag.

Delores Triangle, 2-5 years for a guaranteed tag.

Paunsagunt, 2-4 years.

Or last, a couple of CWMU's that I have spoken with that told me that I would have a good opportunity to kill a buck of that caliber if I drew. I would probably have a 25-50% chance of drawing one of those in the upcoming draw.

I would just like some opinions on those LE units. If you have hunted them recently, what was your experience? Thanks

I am in the same boat you are in. I have been told that the delores tri is good but only if it snows other than that i dont know. Sorry i could not be more help.
As for me I might just wait for the hennerys

I am also in the same boat. I hunted San Juan with a friend a few years ago. There are some good bucks, and you won't find a neater area.
