Help With Unit 70

Hey guys, I drew unit 70 3rd season. At first I thought I would have enough time to DIY but as the summer as progressed, it has been so busy at work, I havent had time to get out and scout it. (nor will I be able to for a month or so) I'm thinking I may need the help of a guide or at least someone with some good knowledge of the unit. Does anyone know of anyone that guides in the area that is reputable? If someone had some first hand info of the area, I still may be able to pull it off myself. I just dont want to waste the tag. (Not that it's a super tag but still.) Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Good luck getting info on this unit. I have the same tag this year and have been trying to find as much info as I can, but it seems like everyone is pretty tight lipped. Probably because it is a fairly easy tag to draw and people don't want to give out any pointers to the competition. During my research I found the Bray Ranch (www.brayranch.com). It looks like a pretty decent operation and appears to have several package options.

I am going DIY (solo) and it will be my first time to the unit as well. I hope to get out the week before the season opens and look around a little. I am planning on having plenty of company from both elk and deer hunters, but I can't imagine it being any worse than our public land hunts here in SD.

SDBugler, thanks for the info, I will check it out. You are right, info has been tough to come by but that's to be expected i guess. I'm not sure if I will be solo or not? I have some family members who "think" they will be able to help but you know how that goes! Good luck to you as well!
