Just wanted to see what the rest of you guys out there are seeing. Im seeing lots of big bulls in one of the best years I've seen in a while for elk. Just got back from a scouting trip in an undisclosed location and had 2 bulls at the 380 range, 1 over 395, 1 bigger than that, many 350 or better bulls and lots of 6x6's. Its been a long time since I've seen even a decent year in NM. You guys out there seeing the same results???

Yup. Seeing lots of really nice bulls up north this year. Rain almost every day in some places. Seems like they are in velvet longer this year? Have not seen any hard horns yet.

Looks great in my neck of the woods i have seen more bulls this year and the deer are looking good also 20 more days fellas

Seen seven bulls yesterday! Two of them had stripped off velvet and were sparring. There are good bulls this year in NM. Good luck to all.

I only saw one bull with stripped velvet and it was the largest bull we saw this weekend scouting.

Just curious but someone mentioned good horn growth up north. Not to start any fights but I always assumed bulls up north were all smaller bulls. Score wise are you seeing great bulls up there? Just a curiosity type question.

Stinky, the best bull I have ever seen in unit 6, ever...

Banner year for elk and deer in the north this year. Lots of 320-340 type bulls. Can only speak on what I am seeing in 6. Im sure 52 will still be over run with raghorns, because even with the best of feed, if they arent older than 2, the nutrition wont matter.

Nice bull anywhere. I have scouted my Huevos Rancheros off and seen 6 bulls but hopefully they will be there during the rut.

unit 6 you say??????

do you have any idea where the trailcam is that you found that picture on? I'm guessing you were drunk off your a$$ when you found that trail cam and were on the wrong side of the state cuz unit 6 would'nt carry a bull half that size!

holy crap dude you must really be hittin the bottle hard! remind me not to screw with passthrough. He's one dilusional SOB!

BTW, the deer in the gila are kickin out some monster horns. looks like this year is putting out some toad bucks as well. When i see some sacs bucks i will let you know what they look like as well.

You're right, no way a bull like that could be from 6. What was I thinking? No reason for you to hunt up north, since all we have are rats. By the way there aren't any big deer in 6 either...

seen some toads down in the Gila. all still in velvet except one small 5x5, he was just starting to shed it. looking good for this year

I hate every year that I don't draw, but you all are killing me with this kind of talk!!!!!!!!!!! Knock it off already!!

I'm headed south to help a buddy scout for his 3rd archery season tag this weekend. Having issues with my Nikon D50, so I hope I can get it fixed and take a few pics of a good bull or two.

My 15 year old son drew 15 late MZ bull & I bought him a left over MZ youth deer tag in 15.

This will be his first real chance to kill something with some bone. He's got 4 cow elk and two antelope under his belt, so I am very hopeful for him to have this opportunity.

I don't know why I'm going scounting with a buddy in a different unit than where my son has a tag, because I know that unit very well and I've never hunted 15 before. I should be scouting unit 15, I just don't know the point of it when his hunt isn't until Thanksgiving. Hopefully I can make it back down to scout 15 a little before my son's hunt.

I thought it was just me as I've been sitting on my hands and biting my tongue in excitement....scouting trip to Gila 3 weeks ago 17 bulls and 1 Gila Monster. I love the Gila as I know it well but the north is coming on strong with Quality bulls and so so much easier to draw.

Here you go Crazy.

These pictures are from July 13th, we havent checked that camera since, so this bull is probably bigger.

Threw this guy in for good measure...

because ur an ass and would go poach him damnit! im just jackin with those utard fags with the pahvant post. lets just say hes high on my hit list. why ya gotta. be pointin me out? thot we were friends? fat boys dont stick together anymore? btw that actually is a nm bull. no joke this time. just not 34. 34 had piss poor horn growth from what im seein so far.

How many user names do you have??

Never understood why you wanted to hunt UT bulls. Every time you see a nice UT bull there are 15 guys in the picture. How do you comptete with that?
They better back off on the Real tree white tail growth hormones on your bull or he is gonna have kidney failure before your season opens.

I have several but can't remember half my passwords. We have some good ones spotted. Only problem is that there are zero vantage points. Its flat juniper country and finding the few bulls in there is a pain. Then you combine the fact you have one hunter and one guide instead of the utah posse and it makes for odds severly stacked against us. Guess we will see huh?

I am sure you have considered all of these.

Agent orange.

Ultralight with a gun mount (you couldn't be less accurate shooting from that)

Small controlled 2000 acre burn.

Indian tracker

holy crap paul. your a friggin genious. Why didn't I think of that? I was thinking of buying one of those drivable diesel 4x4 manlifts that scopes up 30ft and putting it in the back of my truck for the hunt.

Learn from the pros (US Outfitters)my man... rent an ultralight and herd them into your favorite meadow

wow i like the ultra light idea but why not just carry a gun on it as well? take out the middle man.

the USO comment is hilarious one year i was hunting and ran into one of there guides and was talkin about all these huge bulls they were chasing so me and my dad told him a spot on the way to ours that was as rugged as all get out and held few elk but he believed us when we said we saw a 380 6x6 and we would be there at 430 to get after him because at 430 we cruised by and there was his truck haha
